About me?

I’m a Chartered Financial Planner with over a decade of experience in financial services.
 
Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of working with diverse and interesting clients, in my previous roles at a Private Bank and a chartered financial planning firm, and now at HFMC Wealth.
 
For me, living a rich and fulfilling life means travelling extensively, seeking out new challenges and experiences, and keeping physically and mentally active. On the weekends, I can be found out and about, enjoying all of the great live music, theatre, and most importantly, food, that London has to offer.

About me?

After Physics with Space Science at Uni I joined a pension company. They gave me a project that turned into a department and a team of 6 to run and were really supportive. Then I passed the financial advisor exams and moved to London with my wife to start as an Advisor in 2000. That new company encouraged me for 6 great years and I realised how lucky I was to get 2 brilliant bosses on the run.

And then a third fabulous boss when I joined HFMC Wealth back in 2006; despite telling my recruitment consultant I did not want to work out of central London he insisted it was the best opportunity available and he was right. I soon took on my own team and then became a partner and have never looked back. Thank goodness I went for that lunch interview in Weybridge with Jeremy Hoyland all those years ago.

I hope I have learned from the great bosses I had to be a great boss to my own team; I can’t do what I’m good at if they aren’t doing what they are good at.

Beyond work I spend much of my time with my son, playing board games and realising he can now code way better than I can! He is trying to get me to join his fencing club so maybe I will have to update this Bio in the near future. I adore cooking and experimenting with new recipes which my wife loves but complains about the extra gym visits needed. Just don’t ask her about my bread, I’m working on it. People often say ‘I like reading’ but books are a passion not a hobby (real ones that is, not digital ones!); I always seem to buy them quicker than I can read them. And for my sins I love American Football having played at University…my team is one that continuously loses.

My clients are diverse and range from young professionals, to those looking to manage their wealth for retirement. There are also those clients who have experienced various life events, such as divorce or a death in the family, which of course can be overwhelming for the individuals and significantly affect their financial plans.

About me?

My belief was I shouldn’t go to university unless I knew exactly what I want to do for my career and it required a degree as I was eager to begin adult life and didn’t want the added student tax burden. Therefore, I finished college in 2010 and started work in hospitality to get me going whilst I worked out what I really wanted to do for the rest of my life!

After buying my first property three years later, I had realised my passion for personal finance should be my career, after all, when recognising something you are so enthusiastic about can be your career, I knew I had to do it!

I begin working at a major high street bank as a Personal Banker in 2014 where I gained experience helping families and business owners achieve their financial goals.

Today, I am a Senior Private Client Adviser having joined HFMC Wealth in 2019 and as my passion is helping families achieve their goals and aspirations, I was very keen to do so in a holistic financial planning environment. So, I made the easy decision to join HFMC, a fully independent firm of Chartered Financial Planners.

Outside of work, I am kept busy with my two young children who enjoy gymnastics and bedtime stories. I try to get out on my motorcycle as much as I can in my spare time (including the odd track day!) as I am passionate about engines. I also love to travel and always try to ensure my next trip booked.

About me?

I joined HFMC Wealth in 2014, having spent 17 years before that working with clients at BDO in London.

I have been advising clients for over 25 years. Many of them have worked with me for between 10 and 20 years and I take a great deal of pleasure and job satisfaction in working with them over the long term.

I think one of my strengths is listening, getting to know you and then building up a picture, with you, of what success looks like.

I also love problem solving, so this comes in very handy when we start to look at how to build your personal financial plan.

Away from the office, I love travelling, keeping fit, playing golf and motor racing.
