Your 2021 Budget Summary
We are delighted to be able to provide you with our summary of the key announcements in the Budget 2021 statement, made on Wednesday 03 March. Our full budget summary can be found on this page below as well as the latest tax tables.
To the casual observer, the first Budget of 2021 appeared to have been fully revealed before the Chancellor even reached the despatch box. The relentless flow of pre-Budget rumours, kite-flying and red herrings makes it is all the more important to forget what was said before yesterday and concentrate on what was announced in parliament.
The Chancellor, Rishi Sunak, set out the government’s tax and spending plans for the year ahead, announcing new measures to help business and jobs through the pandemic and to support the UK’s long-term economic recovery and a series of tax-raising plans to help rebalance the public finances.
Here is a quick summary of the main points.
