Who do I work with?
I work predominantly with private clients. I focus on helping clients protect what they have, and to successfully transfer their wealth to future generations, whilst ensuring they retain sufficient to support their desired lifestyle. This often results in working closely and collaboratively with my client’s legal and tax advisers.
My clients are frequently entrepreneurs, and senior managers and directors who are either approaching or have recently made the transition into retirement. My clients are frequently time poor and looking for a trusted adviser to whom they can delegate.
The most enjoyable part of my role is working with our clients. Meeting new people, hearing their story, and understanding where they are in life, how they have got there, and what lies ahead is fascinating, as everyone is unique. I find it incredibly rewarding being able to simplify complex decisions, and helping clients make sensible informed decisions around their future options.
Outside work, I have been married to Marie since 2003, and we have two children. We enjoy walking in the local Kent countryside where we live, especially if a pub beer garden can be included in the route! I enjoy a social round of golf, and a day at the test match with friends is a regular summer event.
I started working in Financial Services in 1987 in the City of London. After 20 years in various corporate roles, with insurance companies AXA and Aviva, and then with the Swiss private bank UBS, I decided it was the right time use the experience gained in an advice role.
I was previously working alongside Vince Lane at R&S Associates as a Chartered Financial Planner until our alliance with HFMC Wealth in 2023, providing a greater range of services to my high net worth clients, something that was difficult to do as a smaller firm.
